Pros
- decent comp - get to work with a lot of blue chip clients
Cons
- untransferable skills: all of the systems and software that you use are proprietary and therefore not transferable or relevant to any other company or role - extremely political: want to get promoted? you better be going to all of the happy hours and hanging out with the right people - stuck in the past: not progressive at all when it comes to working hours, wfh flexibility, work-life balance, benefits, etc. the office also looked like it hadn't been updated since the 80's - repetitive and boring: at the analyst level, you will spend the majority of your time cleaning data. all projects are essentially a rinse-and-repeat, and no one actually seems to understand how the underlying models work - weird culture: people don't really seem to care about your life outside of work, and try to embody a "work hard, play hard" lifestyle. if your company holiday party is the highlight of your year, then this is the place for you
