Fred, our former CEO, stepped down - a move they all said was a "mutual decision", and done in the best interest of the company. However, he never addressed us himself. As someone who has worked in the tech startup space for a while, I have seen this story before, but not like this. There was NO hint of Fred anywhere. Not a "thank you, and good luck", not a peep from him. The rest of the C-suite delivered his "resignation".
All events following have been "shady" at best. Across the organization, we have been told that there would be no layoffs, and yet I have seen friends from various levels across the company (VPs to individual contributors) being let go for "financial reasons". Sounds like a layoff to me.
Back to the cons:
- Tough place to work, long long hours
- Everyone is late for EVERY meeting. At least 10 minutes. No respect for time.
- Culture is toxic at times. You are either "in" or you are "out"
- Core values? What core values?
- Lack of respect for the ones who shed their blood/sweat/tears for the company
