Pros

Very remote friendly, excellent product, purpose driven work

Cons

Current CEO is an out of touch CFO that is aligned completely and only to our current PE ownership. He lives to help them extract as much wealth from Ancestry as possible before another sale. I am a primary source and can confirm every personnel decision is made with cost cutting in mind. No merit, lower bonus pay out, increased employee benefit contributions, cut benefit options, office closures, silent RIFs, removing equity from the rank and file...the beatings will continue until morale improves.

Pros

The company provides good working conditions, food, and a great in-office work environment, and smart colleagues you can learn from. Good benefits and good lunch.

Cons

If the work can't lift the entire company in the short term, then the work seems to have no value. They have no patience to wait for the results to manifest.
