Territory Sales Lead

Pros

Not much Pros to comment besides having the ability to travel to different store locations and meeting different people. Benefits for gas reimbursement, travel hours, and your usual 401k and medical and dental insurance. You get some holidays off except Thanksgiving

Cons

Poor channel of communications between Corporate, Management of all levels, all the way down to the Territory Sales Associates. Expect to be blamed for any failed assignments and projects when it's reason is out of your control District and Regional Managers are ineffective in solving solutions on store level. You're pretty much alone and easy to blame for any issue of what goes on in store level. They only care about looking good in the company. If you have any issues with the job or any disagreement with management, Do not expect the HR department to help you at all. The reason for that is because they have access to the field so, it gives management the opportunity to manipulate the situation. It's mandatory to work on Thanksgiving and Black Friday which is the worst time of the year due to huge crowds. Your compensation especially doesn't match the amount work that you do in a week. They provide little sales tool to help you sell promotions in a given store. A huge con is trying to make the stores and your company happy at the same time. One minute the company wants a project done and store refuses to assist you on that project. When that happens, you are now in a tight spot b/c one party is not happy. As a result, you are the main person to be blamed b/c your District Manager is not taking any responsibility for store issues. As a new hire, you will encounter this situation every week especially with difficult stores. Every worker gets an iPhone 5 to do the work activities with poor battery life which affects work efficiently b/c of constantly having to run to your car to charge your phone.

Business Outlook

Pros

Free movies, good benefits package. Wages above average for this job. Work closer to home than most jobs in this industry.

Cons

No real communication. Must watch that you get paid for all hours and mileage. Lack of communication makes it really hard to do the job.
