Pros

Work on your own, can somewhat make your own hours if your part time. You get to meet celebrities when they have signings for books or CD's. That's pretty cool. They offer insurance, even if your part time. Sometimes the company sends you free stuff.

Cons

Company just wants a body in there to stock shelves. You're in Walmart! Most smell, bathrooms are disgusting, don't feel safe at night. Employees at Walmart are pretty nice, just the clients are the smelly ones. There are midnight releases and some Saturdays. Lug heavy boxes back and forth. Search the back room for your stuff, which is scattered everywhere.

Pros

I enjoyed working with the team I built as a District Manager. Pay was competitive, though tied to commission on declining products. Insurance and 401k were poor and below industry standards.

Cons

No work life balance at all for management, work dominated my life daily. Leadership at corporate seemed directionless and communication was poor. The company spent millions of dollars on an initiative without figuring out how to make any profit from it. This huge loss of money was a big factor in causing layoffs. Layoffs that I had to do. The company seemed to struggle to find a way to stay relevant and profitable, when their business model was so outdated.

Pros

NOTHING !!! You do not set your own hours and work at your own pace. You are given 60+ hours of work to do in 40. And do "NOT" go over. Your DM has no say over the activities loaded on your device.

Cons

Nothing has changed with the new hourly structure, who has time for breaks. Most employees still work off the clock stocking product. You are still going to get phone calls after hours if an activity is loaded late, or if it simply reappears. The stores still expect help, but we are too busy doing other things that we have no time to complete.
