Pros

High pay compared to the retailers we work in and in relation to what the job requires in terms of skills, flexible hours, distributed workforce environment which means no direct supervision from management. Free movies from various studio partners throughout the year, sometimes dependent on performance as measured by execution of placement of various promotions.

Cons

Sometimes the workload for a given week far exceeds the under 40 hour requirement; Company rarely approves overtime and will often commit to more work from many partners than can feasibly be accomplished in one week and then commits to hardly enough the next, instead of working with our clients to balance the workload between weeks.

SAY NO!! THE Epitome of a BAD COMPANY

Pros

I wish I had pros for this position but I was sold a dream. The "Dallas Palace" is just something pretty to look at but the values aren't even good enough for a peasant. If I could give NO STARS I WOULD.

Cons

This company is NOT associate focused. The beliefs, policies and processes are BEYOND outdated. This company does not actually care about the success or well being of it's associates. It is the only company that I know of that has no engagement survey OR annual review that is tied to a bonus or promotion. There is nothing to work towards or for. You can tell Amerch is from Amarillo because the small town mentality has us suffering with getting talent here in the DFW. SORRY but NO ONE HERE will work for 5 vacations days, only one floating holiday (AFTER A YEAR of SERVICE), an insulting benefits plan with deductibles so high you can't even afford to see a doctor, and a company SO CHEAP that you can't get supplies unless you BUY THEM YOURSELF and don't dare ask to be reimbursed. Don't believe me? If you get a chance to walk around the office look at all the managers, HR reps and associates who have monitors sitting on FED EX BOXES. BTW....the increases received this year were beyond marginal, $.23 for some and %1. OH, btw. Holidays DO NOT exist here and PLEASE note that if there is bad weather YOU MUST COME. If you decide to work from home you STILL have to use personal time even if you are salaried. If you leave "early" on the eve of any holiday (because our office never closes and you WILL work the eve of major holidays) be prepared to use time for that as well.

Pros

Pay is awesome whether you are full time or part time. You are in charge for the most part of the departments/merchandise that you deal with. My district manager Alan Long was awesome to work with.

Cons

This job is not for everyone it takes a certain breed to like and stay at this job. You work independantly for a large majority of the time which is a good and bad thing...if you can't take the stress and fast paced job that requires you to get a huge long k ist of projects done on a strict deadline this job is defantly not for you..walmart staff are hard to deal with sometimes ..most of the time they make you feel unwelcome and tell you straight to your face that your not all whike you bust your butt doing the work they should have done in the first place
