Great mission, but scaled very poorly

- Great mission - Cool problems - Great growth trajectory - Good benefits

Cons

- Very political work environment. People constantly undercut other's work, poach people from other teams, and in general just don't want to work together - The technical bar has gone down over the years - Lack of investment in modern software technology like ML - There have been random firing without warnings or real feedback - Over the years employees have gotten less engaged with the mission of the company and haven't felt motivated to work as much

The benefits are fantastic, the future feels secured (kinda). The founder is a bit wacky and seems to love attention

Cons

Leadership is clueless, expectations aren't realistic. You can't lean in and purchase materials until you're well within leadtime. They implemented a new ERP and it's a disaster, they've already decided to replace it in 2 years. Great vision but they don't know how to get there.

Pros

Decent comp vs defense space. Location is nice. Some business lines are better than others.

Cons

Management in Vehicle Autonomy org is terrible. No clear direction on products, more and more administrative BS (TPMs, scrum, story points, etc), more requests to work weekends. No interesting work being done, just full-time configuration management. Compensation bumps are pretty poor, morale is very low. Would not recommend joining any of the robotics orgs.
