Pros

your coworkers will likely be really nice, and even though its remote, you can make real friends through this job.

Cons

The company has been minimizing employee benefits for years. Everything on the sales force as become increasingly strict, while minimizing payouts. Sales commissions have been cut in half, and the ability to earn is extremely limited. Managers and reps are no longer able to prospect their own leads, so they are stuck with exclusively over worked leads, and can keep minimum sales in their pipeline. Commissions payouts change around 4 times a year, and have gotten increasingly worse. The new structure is the company creates a goal every two weeks for the following pay period, and you only get paid on percent to goal. Goals changed over 6k in between pay periods for no reason other than to limit rep payouts. The company hasn't been doing well so they keep changing too many things at once and getting worse and worse. I'd recommend avoiding working here at all costs as it is now. It used to be a decent company to work for, but they have consistently made it worse, and there's no sign of improvement anytime soon. They also haven't promoted any reps in years, so no room for upwards growth either.

Pros

The money was really good. There are some amazing sales managers and the trainers are top notch. Maybe a weird “pro” but you trauma bond with your team and make life-long friends. I made a ton of money until I didn’t anymore. That said, a long sales career here means that recruiters are all over me.

Cons

As I said, I used to love it. Now it’s pay cut after pay cut, same goals with fewer leads, and I swear they’re trying to force attrition of the sales team in order to cut headcount and avoid paying unemployment or severance. They are reducing headcount so there are no advancement opportunities.

Thank you for sharing your review! We’re thrilled to hear that you had a positive experience with your managers and our amazing trainers. We take great pride in hiring talented individuals, and it’s wonderful to know they’ve made such a meaningful impact on your time with us. We understand that sales can be a challenging role, and while we do set ambitious goals, many of our Sales Representatives have found success in meeting and exceeding them. Our thoughtfully designed ramp-up periods and structured training programs are built to set our employees up for success. That said, we always strive to grow and improve, and we remain committed to investing in and supporting our incredible team members. As for your comment regarding attrition, we respectfully disagree with that perspective. However, we recognize and support when individuals choose to pursue opportunities that better align with their skills and passions. For those who thrive in their roles here, we are dedicated to fostering long and fulfilling careers with ongoing training and support. We are also concerned with your comment on how you were treated and lied to. I highly encourage you to reach out to myself directly or our HR department at hr@angi.com so that we can investigate and address where needed. We thank you for all of your continuous contributions to Angi! -Dave Frisone, Executive VP of Sales
