Pros

The people are generally cool and being able to work remotely was nice.

Cons

Layoffs can happen at any time and for any little reason. I watched the engineering team get destroyed. You laid off some very hard working and good people there and I still can't wrap my head around how you justified that. If you were crystal clear about your expectations for employees and what they should be working on at any given time you'd be much happier with their performance. Leadership does an EXTREMELY poor job of telling their team members what to work on or what their goals are and as a lower level employee you just end up guessing. Then it turns out that your guess wasn't correct and now you've lost your job. There are no warnings, NO attempts made to improve your performance or any effort given by management to help get you back on track. They just cut you and that's it. Surprise! Hope you don't have a mortgage to pay for. One things for sure no one's job at Angi is safe. You could be next and for any reason. Unless you're one of their favorites (in which case they will just quietly move you to a different department) people are treated as nothing more than disposable garbage and I hated working in that kind of environment. They do NOT care about the people they hire at all. It's no surprise because I honestly never felt like they cared about their customers either. I just cannot begin to tell you how demoralizing it is to hear over and over that "this is the most profitable year we've had yet" and then turn around and cut staff so you can just get cheap offshore people to replace us. Given how they treat their employees (and especially their customers) I am ashamed for people to find out that I ever worked for this company. I've redirected so many people away from applying here. I hope that anyone reading this will do the same and avoid Angi

Pros

Insurance is decent for what it is.

Cons

Metric goals are inconsistent. Constant issues with systems. Management has poor communication and were even abusive. Employees have minimal support as they are training and transitioning onto their teams. Turnover is high.

Pros

Remote work and the opportunity to make a lot of money. You also don't need a degree to get hired.

Cons

A lot of questions and concerns will go unanswered or ignored. It's a dog eat dog world and they don't hide it. It feels like 4 weeks of training and then you're pretty much thrown in expected to adapt which for those who have experience in the sales industry this can be easier but those who are new to the industry this will be tough and hard to get used to. If you are a master at sales and know how to manipulate people then you'll be great here! The dog eat dog world mentality can be very discouraging especially if your questions and concerns are dubbed, if you are new to the industry or job just prepare yourself! I call it legal conning.

Thank you for leaving a review, we are glad you enjoy the remote work environment. We recognize that Sales can be difficult and demanding which is why we prioritize training to ensure that our team members understand what our expectations are and are set up for success. We’ve been thoughtful about our compensation structure, which provides a solid base pay along with the opportunity for uncapped commissions. Selling our product can be challenging, but your hard work can lead to significant rewards! Thank you for your feedback, we understand that our work is not done and we will continue to invest in the development of our teams.
