Lack of leadership and care

Pros

Remote work was great. Some of the people I met cared about who I was as a person beyond being an employee. Some people want the department to get better. Benefits were pretty good.

Cons

I would be cautious of joining. A lot of hasty decisions being made that the trickle down impact will land directly on the lower-level employees shoulders with no guidance or help in thinking through the problems that are created. I was there for over a year, and cannot say that my supervisor helped me with any process-related problems or helped me to be better at my job. A lot of being thrown into things with no guidance and management does not care or take the time to help. Hateful comments about past employees thrown around, bullying people they did not see fit for the company out, outsourcing positions and then neglecting to train the employees. Little to no professional growth or care for me as a person. No vision on how to make the team better and more efficient. Boys club vibe at the top. Felt like I was not able to speak up about my struggles in fear of getting bullied out of the company. It's not in my nature to write a bad review on a job experience, but I would be cautious of Angi at this time.

Running Into the Ground

Pros

Opportunities to change roles, advance, climb the ladder.

Cons

They've cut the commission pay scale drastically in the 3 years that I've been here. Unfortunately the stock price of Angi has dropped and the company is bleeding money. Currently they seem to be taking it out on their employees. Every time they release a new pay scale, they sell it like it's going to be the best change in the world and lead you to believe you're going to make more money... but after running the numbers myself multiple times, nearly every commission change has been a cut. They just dress it up with numbers and percentages, which makes it hard for some reps to understand, but in the end it's trash. It seems like they're trying to turn the place into a call center and lower the wages.

Pros

- Work remote ( or you can choose to work in the three main offices) - Base salary is usually 30-35k -Commission structure and bonuses while in training. - After 20 approved sales the commission structure is higher, basically with 7 sales 100k plus a year! Plus you earn retention bonus, if your approved sales keep using ANGI. ( Residuals) -Benefits are really good. - I was lucky with my team because I feel a good sense of comradery. My manager is transparent, firm, and understanding. -Work life balance 9-5 or 8-4 or even 7-3

Cons

-You feel like a scammer, like if it feels like a scam it might be a scam… - majority of the people you will be talking to are rude, ignorant, unprofessional, degenerates, the lowest of the low, -A lot of people have been called before. -You can do 15-20 pitches a day and still not get a sale. - You have to dial non stop when starting out. So that your managers notice and can start sending you good leads. - You start with horrible leads that have been there for years. - To make one sale you have to be lucky 🍀, and I’m not referring to getting through the whole application and then it flops, ( or what they like to call it a sub or submit) I mean actually getting an approved sale, and getting cash money , that’s difficult.

We are happy to hear you echo our feelings around Angi’s flexible work schedules, great benefits and uncapped commission structure, but are concerned with the remainder of your review as it relates to the specifics of your role. Being all about talent is a core value we work hard to uphold and providing multiple paths for success within our sales teams is a top priority for both managers and leaders within the organization. Sales can be hard at times which is why we have implemented multiple processes around securing solid leads and internal trainings to empower our sales reps while on calls as well as comp plans specific to new hires intended to allow reps to build their pipeline. We are passionate about the products we offer service professionals through our platform and should any sales representative have questions about the products we offer, recommend connecting directly with a manager or regional VP. Thank you for leaving a thoughtful review. - Tom Cheatham, SVP Sales Strategy
