Pros

Young culture, always plenty of new talent. Quick advancement for those ready to move or if you get in one of the fast track programs you don't have to do a good job, just survive the assignment you are sent on for 18 months and you will be promoted.

Cons

You are rated annually by your immediate supervisor, if you raited as ready to be promoted you will be promoted if you are prepared to move wherever they want to send you. If you say you aren't available for relocation you will be raited as not ready for promotion. The only way to advance in the company is relocation. Raises are capped even with promotion so a promotion often means a 10% pay raise. Are you willing to work far below market rate for experience?

Pros

AB is a great company to work for and full of challenges. Laid back environment but hard work is a priority. Pay is excellent if you're an FTE

Cons

Contractors work harder than FTE and are paid with peanuts. You can contract forever and they won't offer permanent job. Even if they feel you're a great asset.

Pros

Casual environment, able to meet some good people to work with, and monthly beer.... If you think I would say tools given to employees as a pro?? THINK AGAIN

Cons

Way too many levels of approval needed to make one decision, slow to react on important needs, bonuses are dangled in front of you but are structured not to be met. Bully front line, mid level management, and possibly Director level too. Scorned/jaded peers due to constant reprimands and no praise. The only way to make it in the cut throat environment is to become "friendly" with different management levels. It's a shame really- it is one thing to see the commercials that convey nostalgia and American way but to know the working environment is more like the prohibition era when alcohol, sex and group clicks was a way of the times to survive. Good ol' boy practices still strong and visible in many ways.
