      The new Anheuser Busch Inbev

      Pros

      New hires will hit the ground running and get experience quickly. Lots of opportunities to gain hands on experience. The company has near 50% of the US market. Sales are stable and people drink beer during good times and bad times. The benefit package will be decent and the company will pay for job related education such as an MBA.

      Cons

      Just acquired by InBev on November 2008. The new company is going through a complete and radical internal management change resulting in some turmoil and stress. Going from excellent work package to average. Career advance opportunities will be limited due to significant downsizing and cost cutting.

      Pros

      Free Beer. pay and benefits still pretty good to this point. Inbev could change this.

      Cons

      Weekend work. Rotating shifts. Experience is not valued as much as it should be.

      AB4 tried to change Anheuser-Busch into a more competitive and innovative company, but it was too little too late.

      Pros

      Salary and Benefits were great, lots of perks working at a beer company. Many of my coworkers were great people to work with.

      Cons

      Now that A-B has been purchased by InBev many of the perks, including salary and benefits will likely go away or be reduced significantly. Also many promotional and hiring decisions were based on relationships and not enough on merit. The company is not very diverse in hiring or promoting different backgrounds and cultures.
