Pros

- great people at the breweries, excellent management experience and root cause analysis experience, okay benefits, lots of free beer

Cons

- the brewery budgets are cut significantly year over year which has led to a huge downturn in preventative and long term maintenance overhauls. Manager and hourly employee morale is low trying to survive on fewer resources and failing equipment. Salary compensation did not match that of my peers

Pros

Can move up if you decide to commit every part of your personality to the company. Slightly above average pay for the role compared to others in the industry. 401k matching at 8% Fully paid benefits

Cons

Consistently hire management and directors that do not understand the market. Most higher ups will say they have an open door policy but good luck getting a response to questions or concerns. Be prepared to work with folks who have AB as their entire personality with unsettling brand loyalty. One size fits all KPI structure for whole country with brands that are falling out of favor and almost no innovation in the on premise for craft brands, especially in the PNW. Your hard work and success will be overlooked if you don't "play the networking game" Internal interview processes take a very long time - 9 weeks is normal. Yearly reviews are a joke, you are judged by directors who quite literally never visit your market. Indifferent managers that offer little to no training to prepare you for future roles. If you are taking this role with experience in the beer industry expect to start in the High End at zero. Previous experience in your market seems to mean little at this company. No matter how much you love the beer industry this job is more about getting signage up in accounts and making sure you are posting pictures to MS Teams than selling beer. Nobody speaks to the quality of the beer or what makes the beer special just "it sells well in x market" They will block you from moving within the company for 1 to 2 years and you will get reprimanded if you dare ask for their approval to do so. If you are in your early 20s and looking for a job with little to no oversight this is it but be prepared to be driven into the ground by unrealistic expectations and trying to get the same 80 accounts to buy the same 5 brands every month. If you have beer experience over 3 years do not take this job unless you are just looking for a paycheck. The soullessness of big beer is real and once you look beyond somewhat flashy marketing campaigns there is little to grasp on to.
