Pros

My job has awesome benefits and I work with very understanding staff. Even in responding to emergencies people at the Agency know how to manage work/life balance. The Agency does important work for keeping American agriculture safe.

Cons

A lot of employees telework, so sometimes the office can seem empty. As with any federal environment, there are a high number of tenured employees who seem unmotivated and/or tired. But the Agency supports leadership at all levels and offers a myriad of opportunities for coaching, leadership development, and promotion potential that anyone could take advantage of.

Pros

Was a fairly relaxed, office position. It was a good summer job with possible routes to careers in similar areas. The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful.

Cons

On a day to day basis, the work was not terribly engaging. For an intern, there was lots of miscellaneous office work and spreadsheet updating.
