      Not what I was told it would be

      Pros

      Nice people on my team. Big bright office with well spaced out desks. Flex schedule so only 1 day a week in the office. Good salary and benefits.

      Cons

      Very disconnected feeling in meetings where no one turns cameras on and in offices where no one speaks to each other. Not even hi unless you say it first. Training started out well but has become less complete and getting answers is a struggle. I left a job where micromanagement was an issue only to end up at a place where I feel like I’m watched all the time.

      Inspiring Technology Company - Talented People

      Pros

      The acquisition by Ansys is changing the company to be more "corporate" but that's not altogether a bad thing. AGI had many things going for it. - Co-workers and management who care about their people, products and contribution - Flexible and process-oriented at the same time - Smart people building highly scientific, interesting products for the aerospace community - Generally, employees have a tremendous passion for what they do - Competitive perks, benefits, and work/life balance - CEO and President are ethical and lead by example.

      Cons

      Not many cons in the grand scheme of things. Ansys processes will force the hand of managers that did not take career development and performance management seriously. So this slight complaint should get better in the future.
