Pros

I have been with AON for the past 5 years. A good company to learn about Health and welfare benefits.

Cons

There is NO honest communication from senior leadership about the current changes until you come to work to find out that you are being laid off. This makes for a very stressful, tense, and tumultuous work environment. There is also no room for advancement with the Aon Retiree Health Exhange and the pay could be much better. Over the past 2 years, there has been a decline in the amount of incentive income so, if you are considering AON, please do your research. There is also no engagement from Senior leadership to your direct report.

Pros

This company provides a lot of opportunity to try different areas of business and risk management. The team I last worked on was full of incredibly talented people who were smart and driven.

Cons

Work culture - in my experience, going to doctor's appointments, getting married and just generally having "life" get in the way sometimes were looked down upon. I often felt that if I wasn't working 10 hour days and answering emails at 3am that I was doing a bad job. I needed a better work-life balance.
