Pros

The people are really great. I've made some close friendships and good connections. Everyone is pretty much willing to help you if you have any questions. Great resume builder if you're looking to get noticed by other employers.

Cons

Salary is lower than mid-market pay (depending on role), no room for growth (and they are pretty open and honest about it), horrible organizational structure, too many people in pointless positions, and not enough intelligent people in important positions.

Nice place to start working. Interesting smart people and good place to learn the ropes. Pay was very good too.

Cons

The location was bad and the work was sometimes boring. The environment is very corporate and sometimes this can be quite different coming from tech companies

Good compensation, good benefits. company is a market leader in global reinsurance which made it easier to get in the door with newer clients. Firm does very well by its clients.

Cons

Very political, management not engaged in advancing people's careers. There are cliques within many of the groups in Aon Benfield and if you're not on the inside of one you're going to have a tough time advancing.
