Pros

The environment here is relaxed and positive and the supervisors don't micro-manage. Compensation is good for the job titles. Apex is constantly training their employees to make sure that they are knowledgeable of the business and industry.

Cons

The training process when you first start takes a few weeks only because there's a lot to learn but everyone is very willing to answer your questions and to make sure that you understand.

Unique company, minimal growth potential

Pros

Apex is a breath of fresh air coming in from both a startup and corporate background. Being mid-sized has pros and cons but I really enjoyed stepping into this company. Lots of benefits that are all above average. I really like the fact that you get a chance to build personal relationships with upper management, they will end up knowing you by name. It’s not unusual to see the President of the company unloading the dishwasher. He is a great guy and really down to earth, a great fit for a company this size looking to grow.

Cons

The Owner/CEO is a great guy but wants to see people in office. I can appreciate this but without notice upper management has been changing hybrid attendance requirement, requiring people to come in more. I was hired post-Covid on the premise of a two day per week in office schedule, we have been threatened a few times with increases or back to in office full time. The profit sharing is great but fluctuates with the market and the salary is average at best. There are minimal opportunities to move up, instead they do some “title” promotions and give a raise with some busy work. There truly aren’t that many roles to move up into so they are doing the best they can there. There are other advancement opportunities, when someone leaves or a role is “created” for someone.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your experience with our company. The uncertainty around hybrid attendance requirements has been an ongoing topic of conversation as we try to navigate this new territory. Currently, we are actively listening to as many employees as possible to gather feedback to make the best decision for the employee, company, and our clients - so we appreciate you speaking up. We regularly review market pay to ensure we are paying fair wages to our employees. Although the current economic climate has made things difficult for a lot of people, we are thankful for the opportunity to share the company profits with our employees.
