Pros

At Apex they are great people, a great owner and great benefits. Highly selective hiring practices results in high value contributors on the team. Friendly environment and open lines of communication contribute to the well being of the organization. Profit sharing is paid on a quarterly basis after a year of service to all Apexers. Who doesn't like a nice bonus? Finally a place where you can look forward to coming to work and make a real difference.

Cons

The hiring process is lengthy, thorough and time consuming, but it is well worth the time and effort to become part of Apex.

Culture-Focused and Explosive Company Growth

Pros

This company focuses on sharing success with its employees, pays well, offers excellent work-life balance, and has extremely low turnover. Apex prides itself on finding employees that fit and it shows in the tenure of their people. In general, Apex has trusted its employees to cook up a winning formula and its growth and market dominance have not come as a result of luck.

Cons

The organizational structure doesn't always lend itself to upward mobility and sometimes managers don't do the best job of getting people ready for promotion. It's up to the employee to stay motivated and push the envelope, which is just fine by me.

Pros

The generous profit sharing program is unlike one I've seen anywhere else, the owners of the company are here on a daily basis and mingle with the employees, we all enjoy coming to work, coworkers are amazing, the owners believe investing in technology makes us better and aren't afraid of being on the leading edge, we celebrate our achievements with fun events and parties throughout the year.

Cons

There is no remote work policy currently in place and in general is not allowed, we have to pick up the pieces from tasks dropped by our direct supervisor more often than we should.

Thanks for posting, it sounds like you’re pretty happy with the environment and many of the people you work with. Although we do have the ability for our employees to work remotely, we’ve made the decision to prioritize a collaborative culture by having our employees come to work on site. Part of the desired effect of a collaborative environment is that we will have more opportunities to share feedback/ideas and discuss how to make them happen (though this isn’t always possible or practical). These are issues that are discussed and re-evaluated on a regular basis, so if you’re aware of a training or process that would address your concerns, feel free to notify HR or the relevant member of management.
