      Mixed experience – good short-term exposure, but management and retention issues

      Pros

      Good place to start a career and gain exposure to industry systems and processes. Fast learning curve in the short term, with generally approachable colleagues at peer level. Useful early experience, especially for junior roles.

      Cons

      Pay is below market for similar roles. Management communication is inconsistent and depends heavily on the individual manager. Junior opinions are not always welcomed, and direct or confident communication from juniors can sometimes be interpreted negatively. Communication style occasionally mattered more than the quality of work. Questions could be seen as a weakness rather than part of learning. There is an emphasis on “fit” over performance and development, with noticeable staff turnover within teams. There is no formal work-from-home policy, and flexibility varies depending on the manager. The internal experience varies significantly by team.

      Can be used automate redundant tasks and effectively reduce meetings which steal time that could be used for producing results.

      Cons

      Will be used by managers to track if you working and it’s not a true reflection of an employee’s productivity and worth at a company.
