Pros

If you’re looking for a job where you can do minimal amount of work while others pick up your slack, where you can be consistently late, make a massive amount of mistakes, come to work in inappropriate attire and get paid the same amount as your co-workers and not be reprimanded, then this company is for you.

Cons

I’ve never worked at a company where outright laziness was overlooked while the ones who are working are getting more responsibility added on and being told; yeah, that person just isn’t good at their job. We’ll get them more training eventually (and not actually do that). What a waste of time! I’m ashamed to have this on my resume as a past employer.

Pros

They have a lot of shiny perks to attract employees. Nice offices, travel opportunities, good benefits, etc.

Cons

Zero work/life balance. You are expected to carry your work phone/computer and work 24/7- even on unpaid vacation days and holidays. The culture is one of tension- everyone is stressed out and constantly talking about quitting. Turnover rate is ridiculously high which creates extra work.

What's Best for Apogee isn't Best for the Patient.....or those who work for them.

Pros

They have secretaries which they call PICs. They are the best thing Apogee has going for them. However, like the rest of their people they lack little respect and use them like indented servants.

Cons

They hire most of their physicians on Visas from countries that disrespect women, the nurses and ancillary staff and still have the "God Complex" . As a company they do not care about their most valuable assets which are the decent providers that come on board. In 3 years, I witnessed nearly 52 providers on the hospitalist service come........and high tail it out. They used to be a respectable group in the beginning but now they are just as horrific as all the "for profit" entities that put money before people. Stay clear of this group
