Pros

Promotions Incentives Friendly management Small case loads Best effort is made to give maximum work hours

Cons

Most of the BCBAs are new to the field and have limited knowledge about how to write proper goals and objectives. The lead that trained me wasn’t very knowledgable and often answered “I have no idea” to my questions. The reinforcers/toys are limited and are often broken or don’t have batteries, therefore engaging the clients is often difficult. The pay isn’t great. It is hourly and you only get a 30 minute lunch.

Pros

As a BCBA I hear the horror stories of constant staffing issues, cancellations and no support. I don't feel like I have any of those issues at Apollo. I love having my own pod of RBTs that I can train and mentor. My RBTs get full-time hours so my clients have consistent staff which means the programs I write are being run like I planned. I really love the amount of time off that all staff get (not just salary). All staff get PTO as well as paid when the clinic is closed. Having the entire week off between Christmas and New Years is something I've never gotten at another company. It really helps me enjoy my time off.

Cons

The work in general can be a little chaotic at times and scheduling can be a struggle.

They told me they valued RBTs

Pros

The clinical model when implemented correctly is effective. The facilities are new and clean. They provide lunch for the staff once per month. Clients are seen 8:30 to 4:30. The RBT culture is great.

Cons

The onboarding for BCBAs is not great. The pay is low for both RBTs and BCBAs. The current method for pay increases is taking on more cases and having more billable hours, there was no cost of living increase. The primary method of support I received as a BCBA came from other BCBAs at my level and vice versa. There is very little room for advancement regardless of experience and expertise in Behavior Analysis.
