      Pros

      Apollo Group/University of Phoenix has done a great job of hiring and training folks in some departments and they're a joy to work with -- regardless of the emotional (and business) roller coaster.

      Cons

      The emotional and business roller coaster. Too many unqualified folks changed the original University model to the point that its virtually unrecognizable. The mid- to lower-level employees all "get" it, but the leadership? Not so much.

      Dropping revenues are causing strain on the company's IT budget, and job security is not so great now.

      Great people to work with. The job does offer work life balance but is low paid.
