      Fun office and great coworkers, you get some freedom to work on stuff that's interesting to you

      Poor pay, lack of mentorship and no clear career path. Also no adherence to best practices and behind the times in some areas of development.

      Pros

      I personally learned a lot while at Apollo Education Group. With tuition benefits, it's hard not to want to learn all you can. My direct bosses have been very flexible with schedule and telecommuting. Benefits are great.

      Cons

      Unfortunately, this can vary based on what division/department you work for. Their pay seems to be slipping lately, and it can be a tumultuous atmosphere with the layoffs and downsizing in the organization.
