Pros

- Remote work. - Brilliant, smart and great peers. - Product really works well and is a game changer for customers. - Apollo is great hiring top talent.

Cons

Work-life balance is non existent at Apollo. The workload is consistently overwhelming, and requires employees to sacrifice personal time and health to keep up with daily tasks and meet performance expectations. Leadership expects responsiveness even during PTO, and the “fast-paced, growth environment” often feels more like unmanaged chaos. Arbitrary decisions from leadership go unquestioned, creating a toxic culture where employees have little choice but to accept or leave - Unfoutunately all of the above has been normalized by long term employees. 1on1 Customer facing roles are severely under-resourced, there are not enough people to handle training, claims, or customers/prospects questions, which leaves customers waiting until frustration builds. By the time they reach a CSM or AE, interactions can be hostile and sometimes rude, something I've never seen in a Saas Company until Apollo. I've never worked in a Call Center but some colleagues said that's the intensity of a call center, which is atypical for a SaaS environment. Roles are poorly structured, with one person covering responsibilities that in other companies are assigned to 3 individual roles. compensation especially for non U.S. employees is far below market standards despite the company’s profitability. While the product is strong, colleagues are talented and the Apollo Logo can look great in a CV, the tradeoff is a culture that comes at the expense of employee health and well-being. For these reasons, I would not recommend this company to people I care about.
