      Pros

      Snacks and a barista aren’t enough anymore at a tech company to keep good employees

      Cons

      With the constant changes in leadership it’s hard to get a grasp on what is required of your day to day job. One thing might be great for one manager, and then not enough for the next. They don’t take the time to put energy into creating a long lasting sales team like they used to. Only focused on a quick transaction with minimal effort now, whether that be a deal, or employee. Do not recommend this kind of toxic culture.

      Pros

      Great software with amazing potential. I’ve acquired so many valuable skills by simply working with some of the most talented individuals. Truly grateful.

      Cons

      There is minimal room for growth. Compensation does not accurately reflect my overall value to the company. This hurts as I initially envisioned and expected the complete opposite from Appfolio.

      Great culture and work environment with compensation shortcomings

      Pros

      Love the people I work with, my day to day, the work life balance. AppFolio cares about their employees and does seen to try its best. I am excited to come to work everyday and feel like I am learning with lots of room for growth.

      Cons

      Compensation for product development. We are losing our best to not being able to match competitive salaries. Someone will always be able to leave a job for more, but the fact that we are not even trying to come close to matching makes us lose more great employees than we should. This is especially bad for the QA team where we are 2nd class citizens in the org. Senior QA do not get the same yearly bonuses as Senior Developers, UX, and Product. How is that fair?
