Pros

Benefits are okay but if you do not use ARH facilities you will have higher out of pocket.

Cons

No increase in salary here. New hires wait 5 years to move to standard pay rate. Management team has not received salary increase in several years.

Pros

If you like learning on your own with absolutely no guidance, then you're all set. Personally, I prefer to feel welcomed and at least told what I'm supposed to do in a typical workday on my first day at a new hospital.

Cons

Each hospital in the chain is different, but in Hazard, the employees are stuck up and talk behind your back. Compared with what your profession would be compensated at other hospitals, you are VASTLY underpaid. There are too many pharmacists on staff, as well as trying to have a "residency program" and precept students, that it's just a cluster of confusion in the actual pharmacy, and on the floors, the students feel lost, and sometimes the pharmacists are just twiddling their thumbs to look busy. It's a waste of time and education to work there.
