      Pros

      It is a great restaurant. The food is wonderful and together with the employee discount it's great. The bar is excellent and they also have a wide selection of liquors. The employees are also great to work with.

      Cons

      We are almost always understaffed. During friday and saturday night, we would only have 3 cooks in the back. That's not enough.

      Pros

      Applebee's is a decent place to work, especially if you are in college and need a part time job to pay the bills. If you get decent shifts and are good at your job, there is a potential to make good tips. Scheduling is very flexible for the most part and it is very easy to trade shifts with another server if needed. The management (at my location) is fairly understanding and knowledgable.

      Cons

      Your income is primarily based on the tips you earn. Therefore, if your restaurant is not very busy or you get some cheap guests, you may not make much money. You do not necessarily have a set schedule, so one week you may work 40 hours and the next week you may only work 25. Sidework and rolling silverware sucks. The work you do is often very undervalued by the guests you serve.

      Pros

      There is potential to grow within in the company and to make decent money waiting tables if you can find a location that is steady.

      Cons

      Management is a very disorganized. Many locations are really slow so it can be hard to make steady money. The customers that are attracted to the restaurant are not always the easiest to deal with and make money from.
