      Good if you need quick cash - obviously very bad if you're working for the future.

      Pros

      Depending on the # of employees there and the season, it's a nice place to work a couple key nights per week i.e. Friday and Saturday nights. If you can score these shifts and manage to not get sat with things like Tuesday mornings, you're golden. You're also very unattached from the job, and you get a pretty decent workout because you're on the move so much.

      Cons

      Family-friendly atmosphere sucks! Some bias toward who gets assigned to certain sections which can bring down the level of tips you get and the type of people you're serving. No ladder to climb, no future. Basically you only want to work here if you can score a nice section of tables a few nights a week for quick cash.

      Pros

      Flexible schedules, room for advancement, can work a full time schedule, overtime is inconsistent but possible if the cards are played, most people don't realize that restaurants allow you to have life insurance, health insurance, dental, vision, and 401k. The 401k is matched for every 5% you put in, they contribute 3%.

      Cons

      nights and weekends must be worked, they're not mandatory, but if you plan on making money and advancing through raises and positions, figure out how.

      Pros

      The people you meet are interesting and fun most of the time. The work environment is also pretty decent and relaxed.

      Cons

      Not enough hours and getting cut. You don't get enough money! I have bills to pay! Sometimes, the people really put a damper on your day. If the food isn't good coming from the kitchen, then its not good for you either.
