      Pros

      Applebees is an outstanding concept built on solid values. There are some phenomenal franchisees/owners - do your research. Thomas & King/Mike Scanlon and Doherty Enterprises/Ed Doherty - top 2 in my book. Star ratings based on these two franchisees.

      Cons

      Some franchisees - not about the Applebees program, on their own agenda and not supporting the brand - soley supporting their personal bank accounts.(until someone is watching - then its the dog and pony show). They've lost what Applebee's brand represents.

      Excellent experience, they work managers harder than the employees. Gives you an opportunity to learn how to do everything, oh wait was that a pro?

      Cons

      Lower pay end of the industry. Upper management demands high performance with ridiculously low resources provided.
