Pros

Applied is a good company to work for if you are fresh out of college and don't have any other job offers. You can get a lot of good experience here that can set you up for a better job at a different company after a year or two of working PTO amount is decent

Cons

Medical insurance is kind of expensive even for the low end choices Pay increases per year aren't that great, you can go above and beyond and put in 110% and if you're lucky you'll get a 3% salary increase HR can be a pain to try and communicate with. Sometimes have to send 2-3 emails before getting a response and then another 2-3 to get the rest of the response that you want

Pros

-Great opportunities to gain broad experience in a short time. -Excellent company for an entry level person to get industry experience -Have opportunities to work on a wide variety of projects

Cons

-Pay scale is based on North Dakota rates so is extremely low if you are working anywhere but North Dakota -Company claims to have excellent benefits and uses this to justify the low pay however there is no 401k match, the ESOP is not available until 3 years of service, and the insurance is very expensive

Pros

Nice people, low stress, they promote flexible hours although that entirely depends on the policy of whatever company you end up getting contracted out to.

Cons

Applied has never provided any training, all the training I have received has been paid for by clients I have been contracted to. When interviewing, I was told the company provided consulting services, but in reality they provide contract engineer work. In the engineering world, they are a little bit like a temp agency. During an interview, I was asked some interesting questions like what my parents did. I thought that was a bit unprofessional to ask that, since I was the one applying for the job, not my parents. It's an employee owned company, but I'm never sure if its a good investment to buy the company stock.
