Pros

Strong ownership and impact; tight-knit culture; high talent density; great place to work provided you are prioritizing work and your career

Cons

This is not the company to work at if you want to chill or have hard boundaries around work life balance. Work can be intense and the stakes are high.

Pros

The company is very successful because of how hard people work and the high quality bar. These are some of the most brilliant people I've ever worked with. They truly care about doing an excellent job, not just the bare minimum and that pushes me to do my best work. The work is challenging and interesting. I've achieved more in 1 year here than I have in several years at other companies. Working here is a career accelerator.

Cons

We work extremely hard - and there's no shortage of interesting problems to solve. You have to be really good at self-regulating and understanding when you should grind vs. when you should rest. That balance looks different for everyone.

Pros

I came to Applied without a traditional tech background, and it’s been the most accelerated growth experience of my career. From day one, I was trusted with high-impact work and surrounded by people who genuinely wanted to help me succeed. The pace is fast, but it drives rapid growth. I’ve been able to take on real ownership, step into new challenges, and build skills I never expected to gain this early in my career. The intensity can be a lot to manage, but if you can keep up, the company genuinely feels like a rocket ship — accelerating both business success and personal development. One thing that stands out is the transparency — not just from my direct manager, but all the way up to the leadership team. Goals, priorities, and tough decisions are shared openly, which builds trust and helps everyone stay aligned and focused.

Cons

It’s a demanding environment. You’re expected to bring your best every day, which can be intense. Burnout is a real risk and requires active self-regulation. Some parts of the org still feel siloed, and feedback can sometimes be more timely or tactful.
