Pros

- Get to work closely with cutting edge autonomy stacks all across the world. - Strong business model, lots of growth. - Very technically capable employees. - Technically engaging problems to solve in robotics / autonomy / simulation. The type of work you can really lose yourself in. - Eng-driven culture, not much wasted work / meetings. - Strong performers are given a ton of freedom to decide product direction.

Cons

- People here work very long hours, 50hrs is expected, but I normally have to work 60+ to keep up with peers (who also push code well into the evening). I'm into it at this point in my career as I'm honing my craft like never before, but know what you're getting into. - Burnout can lead to people having meltdowns and leaving on a bad note sometimes. - Startup -> bigger company growing pains.

Pros

Good sales organization. Splashy demos are a constant focus.

Cons

They tell themselves people are "self selecting" out of the company according to their values, but in reality they're just culling legitimate concerns about unsustainable growth and questionable practices. The people remaining behind are too new, too desperate, or too tired to object -- and it results in dangerous group-think. "Emotional self-regulation" actually means "won't complain when foisted under unreasonable and unprofessional demands." There's a heck of a lot of unauthentic activity on these reviews. Notice how every very detailed and specific terrible review is punctuated with a repetitive glowing generic reviews? Those are the junior recruiters being forced by senior management to repeat the company mantra. Just think what the score would be without them.

Pros

Honestly, after a year, I can't think of any... Some teammates here are amazing thou

Cons

If you are a new grad, don't join unless you don't care about compensation. Applied doesn't have levels so you don't get the salary bump, you'll get much better comp anywhere else. Equity is not worth anything after series E (not much upside). Toxic management. Having everyone arrive at the office at 8 am when there's a customer visit just to impress customers. You'll not have time for interviews even if you want to leave because the strictly enforced in-person policy. Encourage feedback but take no action on the feedback. People who give feedback are also sometimes given negative reviews because they "do not focus on execution" Very sketchy tech... Things break before demos and many things are not implemented in the proper way.
