Pros

A few good, innovative products that are very cost effective and work as well, if not better than competitors. Good company to "get in" to medical device sales. Growing in market share and constantly improving products. A few good managers out there. Potential to make decent money if your self motivated.

Cons

Organization and culture as a whole is pretty bad- communication is terrible. Nepotism is a huge problem with this company. Promote based on who knows who, not performance. Perceived by doctors as being a cheap company. Screw their reps out of hard earned $ by changing the comp plan mid quarter. Lack of professional development. Lack of education and proper training in all product categories.

Pros

No Pros about Applied Medical, other than a good place for an high school graduate for experience.

Cons

I agree with other reviews on this page in regards to terminations. It does happen daily and if you don't have family members working there, you are a quick goner. This company hires family members (some within the same department) and they cling together, most of which are lazy but get preferred treatment. They are NOT employee friendly and the upper management ("Said") are more talkers than doers. If you are desperate and end up working here, be prepared to get government assistance, like food stamps because you won't be Compensated like other Medical Device companies. $11 an hour if you're lucky. They work you like a horse but you won't be appreciated for it nor will you see any additional $ come your way. Lastly, ALL employees have performance review 'dates' depending on your hiring date and date of service but the company moves up the review dates monthly so you could go without a review or any raises. The company sends out monthly e-mails to all of its employees with the review dates and how far 'overdue' each employee is, and you would be surprised to see employees have not got there reviews in over 1 1/2 years. Basically working at Applied Medical is like working in a sweat shop. Oh, another must for employment at Applied Medical; Speak and understand Spanish.
