Pros

-None really. I did not learn a single thing that I could not have learned with google. Your career will not advance here

Cons

-THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT QUALITY. They say they do but they do not. Most jobs are done quickly but not well. This leads to lots of issues with yields, equipment failure, preventative maintenance, documentation, etc. -They have lots of documentation that is WRONG. The company knows this but hides it and will make team members sidestep protocols/rules/regulations to make updates -Your middle manager will actively sabotage your progress. This is because management promotes people to middle managers that have no previous management experience. -Management enforces and ignores rules and regulations as they please. This is highly unsafe and unprofessional -Management is manipulative does not see you as a person, they see you as a resource. I have overheard terrible conversations between managers about how they want to use people to do their bidding. -Management manipulates the facts and timelines of non-conformance reports to avoid high-level NCIRs and save money -All training is supplied via Applied Medicals internal departments. This means you don't get any certifications that you can use externally and you don't get proper training.

Quality is of the utmost importance to us. If ANY team member witnesses any inappropriate, unethical or illegal behavior they should report it to our anonymous third-party hotline, which is available on MyApplied in the Compliance resources section.

Pros

Start your career here if you cannot find job anywhere else. 8-5 job with little responsibility.

Cons

The mid level management has no clue on what is being designed as there is lack of communication between software and Electrical teams. The management spend hours in useless meetings and blaming other groups. The CEO seems to be smart but again has no idea about the money being wasted in unwanted projects. The firing rate is high and innocent people are sacrificed to keep the mid management people employed and protected.

As you should be aware (and are hopefully participating in), we implemented quarterly team member surveys last year. We also introduced a day-long new team member welcome workshop (Applied Foundations) a couple of years ago, during which the open door policy is certainly covered. We definitely do want to hear from our team members! If you have any additional advice or suggestions, please feel free to share them with us directly at TeamMemberFeedback@appliedmedical.com.

Fine products, bad culture

Pros

Easy to get lots of exposure to multiple facets of the medical device industry.

Cons

It’s a stepping stone company. Low pay and constantly shuffling employees around to different rolls leads to instability and lack of in-depth knowledge. You have to drink the kool-aid..... It’s really no different than any other medical device company when you strip it down.
