great place for a recent college grad good place to learn

wow, where to start. 1. Sr. Management has low integrity--lack of honesty, treat employees AND customers poorly. Lies lies and more lies. 2. VP of Primary Sales has never sold anything, anywhere. Former CEO (Jim Kellner) also never sold anything, anywhere. 3. Lots of "ideas" but no "vision". Ideas change regularly. 4. attitude of "what have you done for me today" 5. They lose more business out the back door than they have coming forward--this is because Applied over-promises and under-delivers. Management encourages deceptive sales tactics to win at all costs. 6. They train to belittle the competition. Sr. Management consistantly insults the competition publically.

Company raises flushed down the toilet

Pros

Relaxed environment and good place to build resume experience for out of college grads.

Cons

Several years of raises that constantly fall below 1 and 2 percent of salary across the board in all departments. Management has blamed economy and senior management. Meanwhile Applied has made two major acquisitions and spent renovations on granite counter topped bathrooms and a top heavy staff of VPs.

Extremely boring repetitive work without obvious value

Pros

New CEO ended the drug test policy which could be a good thing but I don't use drugs. This company likes to hire people out of college which is good for new grads since very few companies want to do this anymore. Company retains elderly employees Easy commute if you live in south suburbs

Cons

CEO Reid French hires all his buddies into top positions in the company over people who are doing a great job such as the last Marketing VP. Low salary that does not increase proportionally to your responsibilities. Trying to implement agile as a new development strategy when agile is meant for projects much smaller than epic. Monitors your internet usage. Company has been known to over promise and under deliver to clients in sales.
