Company going downhill due to PE buyout

Pros

Had good work life balance Great team to work with aside from the corporate politics. Good exposure to deal environment This is all shifting away as the new overlords are cutting costs and turning what made Aprio great into an off-shoring sell out. Company morale at all time lows. Not a company that will cultivate long term future. People are in and out now. Thanks PE

Cons

Buy and not build approach to revenue growth. Management will lie to your face under pressure from hire ups now that it is PE owned and is sucking away everything that made Aprio a unique culture. It’s all downhill from here. No incentive to be there long term Quiet layoffs, nothing is said to the team.

Pros

Aprio does have some good benefits, and there are some amazing folks who work there.

Cons

I was a successful employee at Aprio until I requested reasonable accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Aprio’s Human Resources repeatedly flouted both federal and state law by denying me the inexpensive accommodations I requested and refusing to offer equally effective alternatives, all without bothering to provide an explanation or justification. I don’t know if they were ignorant or arrogant in their flagrant disregard of the law, but even as I learned more about my federally-protected rights in order to better advocate for myself, they continued to play dumb. During the months of fighting for my rights, I felt like I was banging my head against a wall and my blood pressure skyrocketed to dangerous levels. My manager actually told me that she would have to take my mental health into consideration when evaluating me for a promotion. When I realized the only recourse left was to hire an attorney or give up, I quit. Aprio does have some good benefits, and there are some amazing folks who work there. But if you have a disability and need even the simplest accommodations, forget it. They don’t care about you, and they clearly don’t care about the law.

Thank you for your comment. While I won't get into specifics, we maintain that we provided all the reasonable accommodations in this situation. We provided explanations for our decisions and we regret that you didn't agree with them. We do appreciate your kind comments about our benefits and about our wonderful team members. Thank you again and good luck with your future endeavors.

Pros

Work here if you are a white man who wants to work the bare minimum to get a paycheck.

Cons

Do NOT work here if you are a woman who wants to be treated and compensated fairly. Partners and Practice Leaders are almost all misogynistic white men who call the shots with no regard to employees' wishes. Also, any extra work or high performance will not be noticed or compensated.
