Management is clueless, and there's way too many of them. I honestly couldn't tell you who my direct boss was or what he/she did on a day to day level besides walk around. They handed their best selling product to a bunch of associates on their first real job with no direction. They want you to fix the product while simultaneously firing everybody before you who knew anything about it, and then shame you when it turns out to be an impractical use of time. Aptean hosts a bad work environment. Very limited working space. Features include rows and clusters of mini stations in a corporate cubicled fashion. It's depressing to look at, nonetheless be apart of. Management stalks you down from the time you walk in to the time you walk out constantly harping on hours. Every counter social movement employees have thought of (all harmless) to keep morale up was shot down. Top notch employees were treated like dirt. Brown nosers were heralded. Most of the people who knew their worth left on their own terms, and the company fired the rest who didn't.

Profits before people. Company talks about a people first culture but they are just words on a power point presentation. If you are acquired by Aptean expect a company reorganization based on Vista Equity Partners cookie cutter model. Expect multiple rounds of layoffs followed by a transition of your product to an "Apteanized" one. You, your clients, your co-workers are numbers on a spreadsheet. If you have skills of any kind and are confident of them avoid Aptean at all costs, their are companies that actually care about their employees and Aptean is not one of them.
