Pros

Competitive salary, excellent benefits including PTOs, reasonable health insurance, and tuition reimbursement. Got some really talented IT people working in the company. Lot of events for the employee to participate and have fun.

Cons

Poor HR department who have no clue on how to retain the good employees by allocating the resources properly. Short-sighted directors who never present the accurate situation of the project to the upper management, which results in frustrated employees who actually do the real work. After hour events are fun but only for those socialize and for those who have no family to deal with. The "GrowAquilent" idea is badly damaging the relationship between the employees and the company. Everyone knows that it does not work but the executives seem to be deluded that it has been a success.

Hire and Fire Operation

Pros

Decent pay, good benefits, some talented co-workers, and some possible interesting work depending on the projects you find yourself lucky enough to be on.

Cons

Hire and Fire. No attempts to secure employees. Ramp up for contracts and layoff when they are over. A lot of companies do this to an extent but this is the worst I have ever seen. There is the inner circle and everybody else. Lame attempts at workplace moral with cookouts, baseball games, etc. but if you don't attend it is frowned upon and counts against you. Not everyone wants to hang out after work in wonderful Laurel, Md. The location is undesirable. The whole operation is hire and fire and a bit amateur and shady.

Work until you drop......

Pros

Smart engineers, free coffee, social events.

Cons

Stay way. Management only cares about maximizing billable hours. On some contract expect to work 60-70 hours a week! You will get emails and tasks over the weekend and expect to reply immediately. Customer / client will call you directly. Clique culture that belittles anyone that disagrees. Too much internal politics. If client does not like you, management will force you out. Executives don't seem to care and/or understand what is really happening.
