      Asked to do too much with too little training and not enough $$

      Pros

      Great hours for moms with school aged kids

      Cons

      Asked to do too much for too little compensation and too few employees. Upper management seems overworked and unorganized. Often drops new recipes and ways of serving on the cafeteria staff without providing the proper tools and training to implement the changes effectively.

      Pros

      They can provide excellent growth opportunities for most management employees. ARAMARK provides endless online training/learning assets.. Fast paced.

      Cons

      They have too much corporate control over the business units. While I can understand a lot of it, every business unit must do exactly as the others with no deviation at all. What works in Vegas doesn't necessarily work in Nashville (or even down the street.). I was already a well developed manager before I went to ARAMARK. I see them not allowing newer manager to grow properly because of too much control from above.

      Pros

      Good people. Job security. Competitive salary, car package, decent benefits. Opportunity to move up if you're willing to stick around.

      Cons

      Bonuses shrink every year and the carrot gets moved further away. One of the most poorly run companies I've ever worked for. There is such a wide gap between the frontline employees and the corporate level that the President doesn't even realize he's running the business into the ground with the inept strategies being employed.
