Pros

If you are into food service (i.e-managing a cafeteria, or corporate catering) the job is M-F, and hours are better than a restaurant. has great benefits package, ample opportunity to network in the industry. You will learn to manage people and will hands on do operations. there is never down time (this is good but not after working 10 hours every day) Free lunch.

Cons

Work 10-14 hour days 3-4times a week, with no extra compensation, Daily min of 10 hours is expected. start time 6am at most places. You can get stuck in the same position for years as promotion will only happen base upon availability and personal relationships with hiring managers. Your salary is only increase if you move from one account to another. Year review is base on corporate's nation wide perception of your activities contributing to their goals and not your actual performance on the operations.
