Pros

Flexible Hours with school Acceptable pay 50% off employee discounts on food There are chances for advancement The customers are usually nice

Cons

-The management does not take into account that the employees have families and personal lives outside of Arbys. -When changes come down from corporate, it is obvious that they do not take into consideration that every store is not the same. -The level of service that they expect the employees to deliver is somewhat unrealistic. Its understandable that you want smiling courteous people but to ask employees to sing songs, do cheers is a little much. Its only fast food. I understand that Arby's wants to stand out from the rest but I think that is asking too much. -Some of the managers are very business minded and do a good job at running their stores but the problem is when they let their personal lives, opinions, and feelings interfere with their relationships with their employees. This drives the employees to being very unhappy and in some cases even quitting -The Senior managers and higher authorities do not ask the employees what they think will make their job experience more comfortable. It really just goes like this: "you do what I tell you to do, how I want you to do it, and when I want you to do it." -There is too much required for employees to do for most of them employees to be paid the amount that they get paid with is on average just minimum wage. There is always over the top chores, usually things that the so called maintenance person is supposed to do. -The insurance company gives the run around with it comes to getting signed up. They give you the impression that they are trying to help you anyway possible but when you really sit and think about it you can tell that they are really just trying to discourage you from getting the insurance. They seem to either not be trained well or told not to give out certain information. Its like Arby's insurance department is trying to keep from giving the employees benefits. I do not see why cause its really not that much coverage. Its just bare minimum.

Pros

Good food. The owner of the franchise allowed us to eat whatever we wanted. This is of course because no benefits are given.

Cons

Training was not sufficiently given to the owner. He had no idea what he was doing and the franchise allowed him to do whatever he wanted only because he was paying a franchise fee. Training was not sufficiently given and even if given, it really doesn't help to train the people to re-fry fries and leaving salads for more than 24 hours. No benefits are offered either. It is just one of the worst franchises to work for. It seems that the franchise do not really care about their name.
