Was a great company...

Pros

When I first started, it was a good place to learn and grow. Great pro deals, pets at work, beer on Fridays, and creative, passionate people.

Cons

No longer the company it used to be. It's become significantly more corporate since Tyler Jordan left. Too much of an emphasis on growth and less on innovation and quality. The current CEO has interesting ideas, but he changes his mind frequently which makes execution difficult. Many long time employees have left (and have been told to leave).

Pros

Arc'teryx throws a good party.

Cons

Management flaws cross departments. Communication barriers across departments prove to make daily tasks/ overall work life very difficult. Department as a whole is underpaid and lacks funding. Job description does not match current work load. No compensation or benefits for increased work load in relation to "Lean" production. Little scheduling to aid department in meeting goals/ deadlines. Very little opportunity for growth within current department. Innovation slipping. Resistance to change from upper management. Resistance from design to create product optimum for production. Cutting corners towards "Lean" production without focusing on "Lean" design.

Pros

Great staff. Kind. Hard working. Great environment.

Cons

Slow access to benefits. Overwhelming emphasis to the product rather than people who wear it.
