      Diverse work, broad based job opportunities which can afford interesting and exciting projects.

      Cons

      Company's size can be an obstacle, poor management form the top down to encourage growth of younger employees

      Pros

      1. Good place to work with friendly environment and warm culture. 2. Flexible working hours and good benefits 3. Food Cafe and free bar on Wednesday & Thursday evening. 4. Extra-curricular activities every month. 5. Great place to start as a senior engineer.

      Cons

      1. Very low pay-rise and lack of opportunity for promotion. 2. No systematic training plan for graduates. 3. Poor line management in few departments causing the employees to leave the company. 4. Most of the technical work is carried out by the company in India leaving the UK employees only with checking works and graduates with administrative work (paperwork, excel and formatting). Not much to learn for junior engineers except helping the senior staff in printing their stuff. 5. No increment or bonus for obtaining CEng.

      Pros

      The group I work in is strong and communicative. The benefits are great. With a little initiative, there is a great variety of projects to work on. The activity bases workplace office arrangement make it very easy to work from home, or anywhere. Raises and bonuses at least once per year.

      Cons

      Project sharing across business lines is scarce. Constant emphasis on billability, but that's consulting. Performance reviews are a joke and based only on billable hours. Haven't had a legitimate career goal since I started. Not always easy to understand what the big picture is regarding a client or project - work can be compartmental at times.
