Pros

Great people to work with. Very old people, so you get to learn a lot. Excellent upper management.

Cons

Working hours, vacation, FLEXIBILITY!!! Horrific flexibility. Weak business unit managers (not all, but a few pose a significant question to how they made it to their positions)

Pros

The people that I work with or work for me are now the only reason I come to work.

Cons

The company wants to know why they are losing people or can't find them. After all of the cuts to the salaried workers, they have now cut the insurance to the point of being able to get better insurance on your own. This company is now a joke in the industry and embarrassing to work for which is a shame. Upper management is out of touch or doing this to cut the work force as many are now leaving.

Thank you for your feedback. One of the most important aspects of our business is our people. Even with changes to healthcare, the company is still an industry leader through the salary and benefits package as well as our commitment to safety. Unfortunately, turnover happens at all companies for a variety of reasons. However, the attrition rate over the last five years for our engineers is 24% - below the five year average reported by the National Associate of College and Employers (NACE). In order to be successful and sustainable, we must attract, develop, and retain the best talent. We have retained 73% of our new hires over the past five years.

Pros

Great pay and great benefits which are given immediately. Probably the best money you can make with only a high school education

Cons

Management will force you over another shift based on seniority if your relief calls off. Everything is based off of seniority which kills any remaining work ethic you have after probationary period. Lack of discipline. You are paid to be there working if you feel like it for most employees. and they pay you great with great benefits due to nature of work. You will miss any family activity you ever plan because scheduling is never consistent.
