You may be lucky and work for a good department with a great manager and skip restructuring.

Cons

Or you may not be lucky and get your career compromised by a company with dubious “values”, strong hierarchy, top-down approach with a huge gap between higher management expectations and operational reality, high rates of burn-out seasoned with face-to-face gaslighting here and there and what not.
