The days are never the same when you are working. There is a lot of interesting people there to work with.

Cons

It's a very old and dirty enviornment. There is a huge gap between the union and salary workforce.

Thank you for your feedback. Our people are our greatest asset and we are always striving to improve their experience. We provide programs and tools to keep employees safe on the job and to enhance their overall health and wellness. We also provide numerous opportunities for dialogue between employees and management and offer training and development opportunities for employees, both union and non-union, and contractors. Our employee communications, incentives schemes, career development opportunities and culture are vital ingredients of engaging and motivating our employees. But, we know there is more we need to do, particularly to boost employee engagement following the sustained period of economic uncertainty we have been facing. Though 2016 brought on changes to our health care plan, our Company is a leader in affordable health care across this industry and others.

Pros

Pay is slightly above average. Usually plenty of overtime to be had. Excellent insurance and benefits at low employee cost. Advancement opportunities are there.

Cons

Very 'Clickish' environment. There is often friction between departments. A little too top-heavy (too many supervisors who each have their own agenda). Advancement is there and internal jobs are posted, but just for 'show' so that the illusion of fairness and parity is created, but the advancement is limited to the select few who are chosen before the job is even posted. If you can stomach an environment where back-stabbing and under-handed deals abound, then its worth the money. In the company's defense though, the situation is most likely no different than most large-scale operations. My advice to a prospective employee: Show up on time, do your job, and laugh at the supervisor's jokes around the smoking table outside - you'll go far!
