A Sheep in Wolf's clothing......

Pros

-Quick turnaround of expenses and freedom to do creative marketing activities. That will probably go away soon though.

Cons

Too many to list, but the lowlights were: -Absurd Micro-management. 70% of your time will be spent on non-sales releated activities. -Bizarre and cult like culture that frowns upon feedback or different opinions. It's their way or the highway! Very inexperienced management teams. System engineers are field marketing reps and not SE's....lol -Senior Management has fed the org a pipe dream IPO that will probably never come to fruition given current market dynamics. -Let's be clear, this is a Sales and Marketing company first. Hardly anybody that works here has an actual background in cybersecurity. They invest very little in R&D. They prefer people with a storage industry background so that nobody realizes the tech is extremely underwhelming. As a matter of fact, nobody has ever been able to test their actualy technology! And that's the way they want it..... -They've way overhired over the past two years. I would expect some layoffs in 2022. -Horrendous ROI versus incumbent endpoint protection vendors that can now manage their own advanced XDR platforms and offer similiar services. -Not relevant in the Large Enterprise at all. Mostly a play for the smallest SMB's >250 employees. They're trying to force it through additional sales and marketing but the strategy is failing miserably. Very few referenceable Fortune 1000 companies if any at all.

Good Place, lack of WFH flexability

Pros

Great people, nice offices, growing company. Fun place.

Cons

Pre- and Post covid, they want people in the office. Especially for a company in the IT space, it makes zero sense. Everywhere else is implimenting flex policies or 100% remote if you want. I'm just done with commuting. Pros don't outweight the cons.

Pros

The people are great Fun place to work Welcoming environment (on the team level)

Cons

Upper management seems disconnected from employees and seems to care more about what the company’s reputation is. Recently changed in office mandates without making a company announcement. Feels like they are trying to save face and don’t want it getting out that they are making employees go back to the office even if they were hired to be remote. Those in the C level don’t care how this impacts employees and only care about making the office appear busy. It’s disappointing that this is the stance they are taking. Feels like the employees are being punished especially teams that have continued to make their numbers. I’m worried that by doing this we will lose key team members because they disagree with what is happening.
