Pros

Kind people. Rewarding position. Flexible hours.

Cons

Lack of progressiveness in hiring to retain quality, experienced workers. Understaffed and lack of corporate or regional support to recognize weakness and provide support to improve situations -- wages, recruitment, scheduling, evaluation of programs for effectiveness, corporate IS training on integration (on-site training), and updates of hardware and implementations.

Pros

Great team environment making it possible to be confident to provide the best care to hospice patients. I have clients that I have to see according to their prescription but I am in control of my schedule. They pay hourly and reimburse for mileage. Quarterly trainings that I get to schedule. You help clients to have dignity and quality of life as they go through the process of dying.

Cons

You bond with clients who are going to die soon after you meet them.

Pros

Salary Enjoyed the job in itself getting patients info needed care

Cons

NO FLEXIBILITY: This job does not have ANY FLEXIBILITY, even with the pandemic, majority having kids, they do not care about family emergencies etc. Past management did but once they left, ppl who should not be in mgmt positions do not care. Expect staff to work 24 hours with no regards when insurance companies close a certain time and holidays/weekends. Speaking of Pandemic…. Back track to March 2020 beginning of pandemic, one of our staff tested positive. Our office is VERY SMALL ( we are not 6 ft apart) with 10-15 people in a tiny box, we were told we all will be fine and had to stay in the office even after someone tested positive. The office wasn’t disinfected not once. It took for one staff family member to call the state and report it for us to be sent home the very next day and quarantine. But they sure rushed us back into the office. This incident alone shows you how much they care for their employees health and well-being. Fast forward to now… 2 employees tested positive and many others with COVID symptoms, no precautions taken, we weren’t even notified, luckily some talk. We had to go request to be tested ourselves. STILL the office was not disinfected either. Speaking of disinfect…. What’s always said to us “You’ll are CORPORATE EMPLOYEES” however, this office full of corporate employees have to clean the office and their own bathroom daily, which the office in general is disgusting. Corporate employees are in corporate buildings, not placed in a box of an office inside a dirty Skilled Nursing Facility in the basement. There is a lot of pettiness when it comes to employees in the Central Intake office; however, the other Marketing employees are not held accountable for what they are not doing properly like their job or provide what is needed in order for the patient to be successfully brought into a facility in a timely manner. The liaisons have so much free will to do what they want and not be reprimanded for the lack of job they do. We have unnecessary meetings internally and externally that does not resolve anything. Internal meetings where the employees state their concerns, recommendations and issues, but nothing never get fix. Mgmt believe what they say is the right way and how things should go, when they are not the ones that do the job or even know what we as employees do. In addition, we have external meetings with corporate, in which we are told not to speak up at these meetings. Micromanaging staff
