They have over hired for the events team leaving it a fairly easy job as tasks are widely spread

Cons

When leaders manage through threats and dishonesty, it can create a toxic work environment. This type of leadership often leads to low morale, high turnover, and reduced productivity because employees feel undervalued and mistrusted. Trust and respect are crucial for a healthy workplace, and when they're replaced by fear and dishonesty, it can undermine teamwork, motivation, and long-term success. Over time, this type of leadership style can hurt the company’s reputation and make it difficult to retain top talent.

Pros

I enjoyed my colleagues at Ares, especially my fellow EAs. I trusted our leadership and thought it was a great place to work. Again, perception is entirely based on who you work with and for. The company truly offers an amazing benefits package I've yet to find anywhere else.

Cons

Sometimes hiring or promotional decisions were made due to cronyism or nepotism, so I left. Again, different departments function differently internally, and my experience may not reflect someone else's. I also believe more EA's are needed to handle to workload, as there has been turnover in my previous role even after I left. Overall, there are plenty of cons, but I still think Ares was a great place to work

Pros

Everyone is kind and eager to help you. Benefits/Compensation package is amazing—best of its peers. Work life balance is a priority. Supportive of family lifestyles. Return to office post mask mandate has been handled amazingly with much flexibility and trust in employees’ ability to continue performing at top levels.

Cons

There are no core competencies for performance standards which seemingly makes it challenging for an employee to forge their path for promotion. The organization has grown substantially in a short amount of time. As a result, there are various pain points as systems and processes are very manual. If you are willing to roll up your sleeves, though, there is lots of good work to be done.
